Testing for Nonprescribed Fentanyl and Percentage of Positive Test Results Among Patients with Opioid Use Disorder
Patients receiving medication for opioid use disorder provide specimens to test for the presence of fentanyl. At the end of 2019, positive test results were 26.7%. The percentage of positive test results peaked in late March-early April 2020 at 40.5%, but decreased in late April-early May to 24.3%.
