Office of Prevention
The Office of Behavioral Health Prevention and Federal Grants offers services to reduce risk factors and increase protective factors, increase cultural competency skills, and position DBHDD as a competitive applicant for federal grants. The key goals are to decrease the number and rate of suicide deaths across the state, decrease the number of opioid overdose deaths, prevent substance use/misuse among middle school, high school, and college students, prevent the sale and use of tobacco products by minors (under 21), and expand awareness and access to community treatment services.
