Suicidal Thoughts and Behaviors Among High School Students
Based on data from the 2019 and 2021 Youth Risk Behavior Survey:
- 30% of female students in 2021 reported seriously considering attempting suicide in the 12 months before the survey
- Increases in those who reported that they'd seriously considered attempting suicide differed by race, grade, and sex or sexual contacts among female students
