Current Marijuana Use and Alcohol Consumption Among Adults Following the Legalization of Nonmedical Retail Marijuana Sales 2015-2019

The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment and CDC used data from Colorado's 2015-2019 Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System to examine the current use of marijuana by drinking patterns among persons aged 18 years and older. The prevalence of binge drinking was highest among adults aged 25-34 and 18-24 years, men, non-Hispanic White adults, and Hispanic adults. The prevalence of current marijuana use was highest among young adults aged 18-24 and men, and lowest among Hispanic adults.
