Opioid Overdose Surveillance County Level Data Tables, 2017 2017

These data describe fatal (mortality) and nonfatal (morbidity) opioid-involved overdoses which occurred in Georgia during 2017, including those related to prescription opioids and illicit opioids such as heroin, fentanyl, and fentanyl analogs. Opioid overdose data were analyzed by the Georgia Department of Public Health (DPH) Epidemiology Program, Drug Overdose Surveillance Unit, using Georgia hospital discharge inpatient and emergency department (ED) visit data, and DPH Vital Records death data.
