These data describe opioid prescribing patterns in Georgia during 2016–2017. Prescription data from the Georgia Prescription Drug Monitoring Program (PDMP) were analyzed by the Georgia Department of Public Health (DPH) Epidemiology Program Drug Overdose Surveillance Unit.
