Stimulant Overdose Surveillance Preliminary County Report, 2020 2020

The purpose of this report is to describe county level fatal (mortality) and nonfatal (morbidity) stimulant-involved overdoses, which occurred in Georgia during 2020, including prescription stimulants, and illicit stimulants such as cocaine, amphetamine, and methamphetamine. Stimulant overdose data were analyzed by the Georgia Department of Public Health Epidemiology Program, Drug Surveillance Unit, using Georgia hospital discharge inpatient and emergency department visit data, and DPH Vital Records death data.
