Use of Tobacco Products, Alcohol, and Other Substances Among High School Students During COVID-19 Pandemic 2021

Based on data from the Adolescent Behaviors and Experiences Survey, 31.6% of high school students reported current use of any tobacco product, alcohol, or marijuana or current misuse of prescription opioids between January to June 2021. 

  • Current alcohol use - 19.5% 
  • Current electronic vapor product use - 15.4% 
  • Current marijuana use - 12.8% 
  • Current prescription opioid misuse - 4.3%
