Xylazine-Involved Overdose Deaths
From 2020 to 2022, deaths in Georgia involving xylazine increased 1120%. This accounts for a change from 15 deaths in 2020 to 183 deaths in 2022.
The groups experiencing the greatest burden of xylazine-involved overdose deaths are those who are male, white, non-Hispanic or non-Latino, and aged 35-44 years old.
